Job Description:
The Recreational therapist works in conjunction with the Therapeutic Services staff on the Psychiatric Treatment Center to establish and maintain as inclusive recreational therapy program that provides patients with the means to explore and expand their leisure and recreational outlets within acceptable goals of the department and hospital.

Experience required/preferred:
  • 1-3 years in an acute care psych setting is preferred
Licensure/Certification: (list required and preferred separately)
  • CTRS, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist under that national association or recreation therapy or eligibility is preferred
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association is required
Education required/preferred:
  • 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Or Therapeutic Recreational Therapy required
