POSITION SUMMARY: Must have NICU surgery experience
Responsible for the overall effective operation and strategic direction of the NICU/NSY department at St. David's Women's Center of Texas; developing and implementing business plans to support the continued growth and success of the NICU/NSY department; leading communication, education, research and community outreach strategies to support service line growth; ensuring quality, service excellence and budget performance for the NICU/NSY program; building effective relationships with the operational and medical staff of hospitals within the system.
The NICU/NSY director provides overall leadership and coordination required to ensure leading performance and clinical outcomes for the NICU/NSY department
Participates in providing patient specific care standards as directed, and follows service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
The position will initially be accountable for the growth and the strategic direction of the NICU/NSY department at St. David's Women's Center of Texas. The NICU/NSY director will work closely with the Assistant CNO of the St. David's Women's Center of Texas and  North Austin Medical Center hospital's management team and will be responsible for the quality, level of service and budget performance of the NICU/NSY programs, providing leadership and business strategies to ensure that set goals are achieved.
The NICU/NSY director will be responsible for promoting and demonstrating the values of St. David’s HealthCare. The NICU/NSY director will be responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with management and medical staff leadership, as well as the development of a cooperative environment for the delivery of world class patient care.

Required:   Graduate of accredited nursing school with Nursing Bachelor’s Degree or higher level education.  Minimum of five to ten years of hospital management experience and /or experience in clinical product line management working with physicians.
Preferred:   Masters of Science in Nursing. Prior managerial experience in NICU/NSY.
Required:          Current Texas RN License or a Compact RN license from a NCLA Compact State; BLS certification as per SDH policy
Preferred:         RNC - OB
