A licensed physical therapist assistant is responsible for the delivery of patient care by following the physical therapy treatment plan and communicating patient status changes as necessary. The physical therapist assistant is also responsible for providing physical therapy to patients/customers throughout the lifespan and able to provide age-specific direct care/services to this population. In addition, the licensed physical therapist assistant participates in clinical programs and interdepartmental activities within the organization. They also function as a clinical instructor in the student affiliation program.
AS degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association and current licensure in the State of Florida.
- Holds current license as Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Experience desired, but not required.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Language Skills:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology.
