Social Worker MSW - Rehabilitation Therapy - Full Time Days


JOB SUMMARY:

The role of the Social Worker in the Rehabilitation Unit is to provide for assessment and intervention relative to psychosocial factors and the social context in which the physically disabled patient lives.  The Social Worker shall demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development.  S/He shall possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:   MSW degree from an accredited school or university.

 

Licensure:  Licensed to practice as a social worker in Nevada, or eligible to obtain a license, with confirmation of            

acceptance for testing.

 

Experience :

Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting with good knowledge of medical terminology and disease processes.  Will consider new graduate.
