Memorial Hospital of Tampa is seeking an enthusiastic Charge Nurse (Registered Nurse) for 12-hour shifts (7p-7a) on our Transitional Care Unit.  Interviews for this exciting Registered Nurse opening are being scheduled now.

The Transitional Care Charge RN (Registered Nurse) supervises nursing service activities in assigned nursing unit for the duration of the assigned shift or in the absence of nursing management.  Our Transitional Care Unit consists of 23 all-private beds.

Recent renovations and the addition of state-of-the-art technology has kept the hospital modernized to provide high-quality medical care, including emergency medicine, diagnostic procedures, surgery, outpatient therapies and acute care for hospitalized patients. Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN (or commitment to pursue) strongly preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of recent RN acute-care experience required, 3+ years preferred.

Previous Charge Nurse (Clinical Coordinator) responsibilities are ideal; Prior HCA Registered Nurse or HCA Charge Nurse experience would be a plus.

Tele experience/certification a plus but not required.

Psychiatric patient exposure a plus.

Valid Florida State Registered Nurse license.

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS certification).

Lifting 50 lbs with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.
